Glamroom’s glamsquad team are Chloe Thompson and Jacqui Siou, two best friends that met 20 years ago and had a vision to create a pre-party getting ready place for those wanting hair and makeup for their wedding or next event.
With a desire to recreate the feeling of the ultimate getting ready pre-party, Glamroom was born.
We’ve created a beautiful getting ready space for people going to events that want to get dolled up and enjoy the getting ready process together - because, lets face it, the pre-party is the best part about going to an event! Glamroom is a one-stop-shop where you can come and get makeup and hair done, plus all of your beauty prep and grooming done without racing to different appointments all over town. For our brides-to-be and clients going to an event that want professional, talented hair stylists and makeup artists to go to their home, hotel or wedding location, Glamroom offers a mobile hair and makeup glam team, specialising in beautiful hair and makeup creations for weddings and special occasions.
Our glam squad can create any hairstyle you want, from braids, sleek or messy buns, to upstyles, beach waves and curls, or our favourite look of the moment Hollywood glam waves. We can create any makeup look you want from natural to glam, or a tailored look to suit your personal style.
We love meeting people and helping them look gorgeous and feel confident. There's nothing better than seeing our clients look in the mirror after their makeover and seeing their smiling faces when we nail the perfect look for their wedding or event.
As well as hair and makeup for weddings and events, we offer two Glamroom locations for brow services and eyelash extensions so your eyes are always on point. We also offer teeth whitening, spray tanning, skincare and facials to help you look your best for your upcoming wedding or event.
Chloe
Chloe trained as a makeup artist in 2000 at the Auckland Academy of Film and TV Makeup, then went onto work for Bobbi Brown, a cosmetic house renowned for its natural approach to makeup. BB’s philosophy is to enhance women’s features with the right colours to complement their skin tones and a simple application to create a pretty, modern look for today’s woman. She then went on to work for the biggest cosmetic company in the world, Estee Lauder, as their freelance makeup artist and skin consultant, working across their leading brands, such as MAC, Tom Ford, Estee Lauder, Clinique and (again) Bobbi Brown.
Her extensive training in the skin and makeup business has given Chloe the knowledge and experience to master her makeup skills and recommend skincare to clients needing expert advice. She loves reuniting with existing clients and meeting new people, to give them the best possible look that suits their style, personality and most importantly a look that they love and feel extra confident with.
‘My favourite look is glowy skin, creamy blush with a pop of colour, bronze eyes, sunkissed looking skin and a nude, or red vintage lip. You can’t go wrong with sexy smokey eyes and a nude lip, which I think is my signature look, but in saying that I do love a less is best approach for a natural look, which is very much an NZ go-to style for most women,’ says Chloe.
Jacqui
Jacqui is a qualified professional makeup artist & hairstylist. She trained in London at the Academy of Freelance Makeup. She has a bright, bubbly disposition, creating a fun, relaxed experience for everyone. With over 15 years of perfecting her skills, she is known for creating beautiful up styles, braided and boho hairstyles for brides and bridal parties and clients going to events.
‘Currently one of my favourite styles to create is the Hollywood glam wave style, which I personally love for its feminine, elegant and timeless look. I would say it has become my signature look’, says Jacqui.
Jacqui uses hair products from Nak, Kevin Murphy, Moroccan Oil and Schwartzkopf, which are trustworthy brands in the industry that hold hairstyles in place all day and night. As a fully trained makeup artist as well, Jacqui can create any wedding or event makeup look you want, from natural to full glam, vintage to fancy dress. Whatever the occasion you are in safe hands, so sit back, relax and let her work her magic.
Chloe and Jacqui have delivered hundreds of beautiful makeup and hair looks for clients getting married and going to special events, having worked with countless brides, bridal parties, models and girls simply glamming it up for a good time. You can trust them and their team to make sure you look your absolute best, while having a fun, relaxed experience.
Both are also fully qualified lash and brow technicians and certified in administering teeth whitening treatments with the Beyond Teeth Whitening Laser system, which is a dental grade laser that delivers incredible white results.

We use the highest quality brands on the market to make sure our clients get the best look possible with the services we provide. We’ve chosen to use hairstyling products by Nak, which is a natural brand that we love for its sustainability and styling control. For makeup, we stock and use Doll Face, which is a local brand made right here in Wellington, NZ by a makeup artist that uses natural ingredients, so the products not only look good, but are good for your skin.
We use other leading makeup brands that have been created for makeup artists to give our clients that flawless, long-lasting look – MAC, Bobbi Brown, Anastasia, Morphe, Chanel, Tom Ford and Clinique and a few other hand picked favourites to create beautiful looks for our clients. We use Brow Code and Thuya for all of our brow services, a leading, well known brand in the industry, to ensure we offer the best brow treatments available.
